PSA Running in the Halls from TISD Tiger Eyes on Vimeo. |
You have many options for a PSA subject:
- Encourage goodness (Give a stranger a smile, let a car go first when leaving the parking lot, etc)
- Discourage badness (Gossiping, drama, bullying, doing bad things to impress others , etc)
- Ad for a good causes (Finding homes for abandoned pets, etc)
- Ad for a service you will provide or arrange (Backpack hauling, serving lunch to others, flower/gift delivery, etc)
- Ad for fundraisers (Band trip, football concessions, Ag plant sale, etc)
- Recruitment tool (For NHS service project, Eagle Scout project, etc)
- What to do, or where to get help, if... (You're physically or sexually assaulted or harassed, bullied, abused, feeling suicidal, etc)
- Ask a teacher/librarian/principal/counselor/club sponsor for ideas for this project!
- Something else you think is better than all of the above! (Subject to my enthusiastic approval)

Item 1: (ONE class period) The links (2 total) to a PSA that you think:
- IS effective
- is NOT effective
- Make it SHORT
- Make it ORIGINAL
- Make it catchy or powerful or shocking or unexpected or all of these
- Make a list of several topics you think you might cover. (DON'T DECIDE YET!)
- AFTER you have several ideas down, then go back and decide which will give you the best chance of succeeding!
- This is the MOST important step; there is so little time! Every shot and angle has to be precisely planned!
- Remember to use VARIOUS shot angles and types that strengthen your message and make your PSA visually striking
- hmmm...your thoughts? SHOULD there be required elements?
